Completely new to the “agrihood” concept after watching the NBC news segment featuring the Olivette Riverside Community and Farm we reached out to Allison Smith, our realtor, for a site visit during our vacation stay in Asheville. Allison presented Olivette as a unique 21st century housing community centered on agriculture and smart open space management while in close proximity to a burgeoning urban center like Asheville and its green space and river walk initiatives. Allison also appealed to our sense of living in a community aware of its environmental footprint when she described the geothermal heating and cooling system that is a standard feature in all the Olivette homesites. After several visits with Allison and taking the time to chaperone us around the area, we knew that purchasing a homesite at Olivette was the right decision for us.
